Eaglewood Newsletter - January 2008

Happy New Year!!

The Eaglewood Homeowners Association officers and committee members wish everyone a healthy and happy new year. We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and have been enjoying the winter season as we settle back into our normal routines!

Eaglewood HOA 2007 - Productive and Successful

2007 Proved to be productive and successful for the Eaglewood Homeowners Association. The major focus this year was the sign replacement project, which consumed the majority of the time and efforts of the officers and committee members from January thru July. The officers and committee members want to thank each and every homeowner for backing the sign replacement project, we could not have accomplished this goal without you. Since its installation we have received countless compliments from not only our own neighbors, but friends and relatives that visit our neighborhood.

Eaglewood HOA Plans Agenda for 2008

During tha last meeting, the officers and committee members outlined tentative plans for 2008. Plans for this year include:
- Spring Event - Easter Egg Hunt/Cookout
- Sprinkler/Irrigation System for the Island
- Trimming Trees on the Island Boulevards
- Fall Cookout / Pig Roast

2007/08 Dues Reminder

Hopefully anyone that has not paid their dues has had a friendly reminder call by now. For those homeowners that have not paid their dues, please take a moment to write a check ($35) and deliver it to Robin Reynolds as soon as possible. If you are not sure if you paid already, or if you have any questions please call Emily Ordorica at 419-882-6233.

Fall Cookout 2007 - Food and Fun for All !!!

The first annual (at least in recent memory) Eaglewood Fall Cookout was held on October 21. There was a good turnout and alot of talk and support for continuing the cookout for this year and years to come. Many of the longtime homeowners talked of "the old days" when events like the cookout were held regularly. New and old neighbors took the opportunity to meet, talk and get to know one another. Hamburgers and hot dogs were provided by the association and each family attending brought a dish or desert to share. The food was great and the weather cooperated with an unseasonably warm (though windy!) day. There was fun for everyone, games for the little ones and teenagers, and fun (libation) for the adults - after all, they're just big kids! The association will be planning another Fall Cookout this year - possibly as a pig roast a bit earlier in mid to late September
